What is the performance of the Chinese market in 2018? What are the surprising and highlights in 2018?
Mr. Lukáš Pokorný:每年赴捷克共和国旅游的中国游客在不断增加。据统计,截止到今年9月份, 中国游客的数量已经达到了2017年全年的游客总数。
虽然中国游客的数量在不断增加,但另一方面,中国游客的过夜数在下降。
我相信,通过实施我们的新战略,推广捷克共和国更多有趣的景点,我们将改变这种趋势,使中国游客在捷克共和国停留的时间更长。
The Czech Republic has a continuous growth of visitors coming from the PRC every year. In September this year, we have already reached the same number of the visitors as per the whole year 2017.
The numbers of Chinese visitors are growing, but on the other hand, the numbers of the nights spent are descending.
I believe, that by implementing our new strategy and promoting many more interesting destinations within the country, we will change this trend and make Chinese visitors spend longer duration of time in the Czech Republic.
T&L:2018年中国旅行者的旅行偏好(目的地、酒店、旅行方式、行程长短、花费等)有哪些新的特点和变化?深度游、休闲游比例是否继续提升?2019年是否会有针对这些变化对产品、服务进行调整?
What are the new characteristics and changes of Chinese travelers' travel preferences in 2018 (destination, hotel, mode of travel, length of trip, cost, etc.)? Will the proportion of in-depth travel and leisure travel continue to increase? Will there be any adjustments to these changes in products and services in 2019?
Mr. Lukáš Pokorný:上面已经讲过,中国游客在捷克共和国旅游期间的过夜数减少了。大多数情况下,根据传统的团体旅行计划,停留在捷克共和国的时间相当短。我们正在努力通过对旅行社的培训来推广捷克更多的目的地,为有各种各样的兴趣的游客提供不同的活动和地方去体验。我相信,在学习了更多之后,大多数旅行社都会增加新的目的地,从而延长在捷克共和国的逗留时间。目前,我们正在开发一个新的中文网站,这将为中国旅客提供更多有关捷克共和国的旅游资源及相关信息。
I have just mentioned the decrease in the nights spent in the Czech Republic.
Mostly, based on the scheme of the traditional group trip, the planned stay in the country is quite short.
We are trying to educate the travel agencies about the destinations in our country, the different activities and places to visit for various tourists with all kinds of interests. I believe that after learning more, most of the travel agencies will add the new destinations and therefore prolong the time spent in the Czech Republic. At the moment, we are developing a new Chinese website, which will bring all the information regarding the tourism resources of the Czech Republic closer to the local travelers.
T&L:自由行比例是否继续扩大?在针对自由行客人,目的地在产品、服务方面有哪些改进?
Does the proportion of FIT continue to expand? What improvements have been made in terms of products and services for FIT?
Mr. Lukáš Pokorný:在2018年9月,自由行游客的比例是40%,我相信这个数字将继续增长。现在,我们越来越关注自由行游客,介绍了捷克共和国的各种活动和名胜古迹,2019年还会有更多的活动。
In September 2018, the ratio of the FIT was 40% and I believe that this number will continue to grow. We are now more and more focusing on the FITs and introducing various activities and places of interest in the Czech Republic and there will be even more coming in 2019 .
T&L:2019年是否会在中国市场推广新的城市或地区?推广这些新城市和地区的目的是什么?
Will new cities or regions be promoted in the Chinese market in 2019? What is the purpose of promoting these new cities and regions?
Mr. Lukáš Pokorný:今年秋天,我们推出了两种新的宣传材料——“捷克共和国的地区”和“捷克共和国的城堡与庄园”,从中可以了解我们国家的每个地区。
还有很多值得探索的地方,从充满历史、浪漫和魔力的200多个城堡,37个温泉城,你可以在那里度过一个周末,甚至花更长的时间来治疗一些健康问题。在那些美丽的小城市,你可以在充满历史感的街头漫步,有很多适合孩子的活动,还有很多自然景观。因此,即使一个星期也不足以深入探索我们的满是故事的捷克。
如果我们看一下这些数字,大多数游客(主要是ADS团队游客)来捷克共和国的时间很短,只关注两三个最热门的城市。导致这些地方人满为患,事实上,捷克有很多和这些地方类似,更多美丽的地方可以参观。考虑到旅游业的可持续性发展,我们向旅行社介绍了这些新的目的地,并推荐他们把客户带到捷克共和国的更多地区。
This autumn we have introduced two new promotional materials - The regions of the Czech Republic and The castles of the Czech Republic, where you can learn about each part of our beautiful country.
And there is a lot to explore, from over 200 castles full of history, romance and magic, 37 spa cities where you can just relax for a weekend, or even spend longer time and heal some health issues, beautiful small cities where you can just stroll the historical streets, many activities for your kids and a lot of natural sights. So even a week would not be enough to deeply explore our Land of stories.
If we will take a look at the numbers, most of the visitors (mainly the ADS groups) come to the Czech Republic only for a very short time and visit just 2 or 3 places here.
Therefore, these places are flooded by the tourists, even the fact, that there are similar same, or much beautiful places to visit. Having the sustainable tourism in the mind, we teach the travel agencies about those destinations and persuade them to bring their clients to more regions of the Czech Republic.
T&L:2018是否有宣传主题?效果怎样?2019是否会有新的推广主题?配合新的推广主题有哪些配套措施?
Are there any promotional themes in 2018? What's the effect? Will there be new promotional themes in 2019? What are the supporting measures for the new promotion theme?
Mr. Lukáš Pokorný:2018年,我更加关注FIT自由行。我们举办了两次KOL旅行,一次在8月,第二次在12月,通过博客作者的眼睛感受到了捷克其它地方,比如布尔诺,奥洛穆茨,皮尔森等城市的魅力。这两次旅行也都受到了公众的高度关注。读者表示对这些不太知名的地方很着迷。
2018年9月,我们带旅行社同业人员到捷克共和国介绍和参观了捷克疗养温泉。这些同业人员深深爱上了那些美丽的温泉城和度假村,并且已经开始在旅行日程表中加入这些城市。另外,邀请了一些旅行社参加了捷克每年一度的重要盛会-捷克国家旅游局全球同业会议,这是捷克旅游局举办的捷克共和国最大的年度研讨会。
2019年,我们主要推广的主题是浪漫和神秘的捷克。我们将继续推广捷克共和国的各个地区、温泉资源、会展以及适合家庭度假的目的地。
2019年会举办更多的KOL主题旅行,四月份会有一年一度的全球同业会议,还会有传统的FAM旅行,到过这些地方后,你就会发现,现在大多数旅行计划中提供的经典目的地已经过时了。
In 2018 I took the FIT much more in mind. There were 2 KOL trips, one in August and the second one which ended right now in December.
Both of those trips received very high interest from the broad public. The readers were fascinated by the less known destinations for the Chinese travelers visited and later on introduced by the bloggers.
In September 2018 we have brought the travel agencies to the Czech Republic to introduce Czech healing spas. The representatives were taken by those spa cities and resorts and already started to add those into the travel schedules. I should not forget the annual Travel Trade Day, the largest annual incoming workshop in the Czech Republic organized by CzechTourism.
As for the 2019, one of the main promotion themes that I will use will be Romance and Magic. We will continue to promote the regions of the Czech Republic, Spa resources, MICE and also destinations suitable for family holidays.
There will be several KOL trips in 2019, in April there is the annual Travel Trade Day event and there will be also traditional FAM trips which will take you to such places. Afterwards, you will find out, that the classical destinations that are offered in most of nowadays travel plans are pretty out of date.
